Also trying to teach myself watercolor. Didn't put much effort into the drawing underneath, just the color. Struggling to get those dark colors without it getting muddy.

That's all I've got. Really hope you made it off the toilet by now.

Don't want to talk to your date? Stuck waiting for your doctor? Sitting on the toilet? This is where you want to be: random things and links to other time wasters on the World Wide Web. Like any nefarious manipulation, I try to associate myself with stuff that is better and cooler than mine in an attempt to make your brain link the two.

I actually grew this in the back yard

T.W. Blackstone, the engineer. Boring. T.W. Blackstone, the artist:

I am not an artist. What I really am is cheap. You know what it costs to get a decent graphic for a book cover? One that actually looks good? I'd never break even. So I got some paint and brushes and then eewwww crap. Now what?

It's worse than that. I had promise as an artist in high school, but left it because artists don't make money. Most of the successful ones make, at an hourly rate, little more than minimum wage. Now I am stunted at that promising but underdeveloped high school level.

My biggest problem is mixing color. I'm as good as the local paint store. Spot on. To paint a face, for example, I mix a couple of flesh tones, and then it looks like I painted with makeup foundation. Below was my original cover for The Well of Thirst. The colors look cartoon-ish. Even the current cover isn't ideal, but it's just a book cover.

Here are links to real artists. First, the dead ones.

More artists. Live, dead, earless, who knows. Art is hard.

Music! See them live because I say so. Well, you know, if that ever happens.

Random stuff. Just click on it.
